Candle Wax Refills

These Instructions and Warnings are to be read and followed when using the Candle Wax Refills provided by Scented By Harry.

Read all instructions before use.

  • Pre-measured scented soy wax
  • Cotton wick
  • Wick adhesive
  • Wick centring device
  • Candle warning label

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1.  Remove all loose contents from the pouch before heating.
  2. Ensure your candle vessel is clean, dry and free from cracks, chips or damage.
  3. This refill is designed only for heat-resistant candle vessels with an internal diameter of 80–90 mm.
  4. Attach the wick centrally using the supplied adhesive.
  5. Apply the supplied candle warning label to the underside of the vessel.
  6. Place the opened wax pouch into a microwave-safe dish.
  7. Microwave on HIGH for approximately 2 minutes (1000 watt microwave - adjust timing accordingly. Refer to your microwave manual).
  8.  If required, continue heating in 20-second increments until the wax is completely melted.
  9. Do not exceed 3 minutes total heating time.
  10.  Carefully remove the pouch from the microwave using over gloves or similar. 
  11. Slowly pour the melted wax into the prepared vessel.
  12. Position the wick through the centring device.
  13. Leave the candle undisturbed on a flat, heat-resistant surface until completely cool (approximately 3–5 hours).
  14. Trim the wick to 5 mm before lighting.
  15. Allow the candle to cure for 7 days for optimum fragrance performance.

 

WARNING

MOLTEN WAX MAY CAUSE SERIOUS BURNS

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • This pouch and its contents become extremely hot during heating.
  • Handle with care.
  • Never leave the microwave unattended while heating.
  • Do not microwave for more than 3 minutes.
  • Do not microwave the pouch more than once.
  • Do not reheat unused wax.
  • Do not use if the pouch is damaged, leaking or punctured.
  • Do not heat in a conventional oven, air fryer, on a stovetop or over an open flame.
  • Use only with a clean, undamaged, heat-resistant candle vessel.
  • Never pour molten wax into plastic containers or containers not intended for candle use.
  • Do no pour any excess wax down the drain. Dispose of unused wax in a bin. 
  • Do not move the candle until completely cooled.
  • Keep away from combustible materials during pouring and cooling.

 

FIRST AID

If hot wax contacts skin:

  • Cool the affected area under cool running water for at least 20 minutes.
  • Seek medical attention for serious burns.
  • If wax contacts eyes, flush immediately with clean water and seek urgent medical attention.

 

IMPORTANT

The supplied warning label must be attached to the finished candle before use.
